Strengthening synergies within the Cultural Heritage Cloud:
KINETIKA and MusicSphere joint webinar

On June 9th, the KINETIKA project had the pleasure of participating in a joint webinar with the sister project, MusicSphere. As active members of the wider Cultural Heritage Cloud ecosystem developed by ECHOES, both Horizon Europe projects are working towards the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural heritage.

This joint session gave us new perspectives on our complementary approaches. While MusicSphere focuses on digitising, modelling, and immersive simulation of musical heritage, KINETIKA is developing advanced 4D digital twins and monitoring technologies designed for mechanically driven cultural heritage assets.

We believe that creating opportunities for mutual learning and knowledge exchange is essential to expand the collective impact of the projects. The webinar was an excellent moment to explore potential synergies between both initiatives.

During the session, both consortia had the opportunity to present their core focus areas. The agenda included:

  • An introduction to the shared objectives of the webinar within the Cultural Heritage Cloud.
  • Presentations on MusicSphere‘s goals, technologies, toolkits, and use cases.
  • Presentations on KINETIKA‘s goals, technologies, toolkits, and use cases.
  • A dedicated overview of upcoming opportunities for third-party participation through the respective Open Calls.
  • An engaging Q&A session and discussion on the next steps for digital preservation.

By connecting complementary projects within the Cultural Heritage Cloud ecosystem, we are building a stronger, more collaborative digital ecosystem, sharing expertise to maximise the impact of digital technologies on the preservation, interpretation, and accessibility of Europe’s rich history.

A warm thank you to the MusicSphere team, to all the speakers, and to everyone who joined us to discuss the future of cultural heritage preservation.
